Life Pleasers

Today, I thought we would address various things/products which make us happy or we feel were a good buy.

So lets get started...

1. Garnier Cleansing Micellar Lotion

This product was being spoke about everywhere so I thought it would be silly for me not to try it out and I'm so glad I followed the crowd on this occasion. I used to remove my makeup with makeup wipes then eye makeup remover for my mascara and eyeliner as I always found this much more difficult to take off. I would then have to follow with a cleanser and moisturiser depending on how my skin was. Therefore as you can probably see it was a lot of steps just to clean my skin. This is where this product comes in. This lotion is EVERYTHING that a girl could ask for. Not only does it remove your makeup but it cleanses and soothes the skin as well, bonus if you ask me. This has since become one of my daily essentials and my skin has been a lot clearer since using it. No more messing about with numerous products for me... this is the one.

2. Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion
This is a product that I have only recently been using but can notice the difference already. I'd say that my skin was a medium tone but for some reason I never seem to tan all over just end up getting ridiculous tan lines. Dove is a brand that I particularly like as I find that it moisturises my skin really well, this is one of the reasons that made me choose their summer glow product. I apply the lotion after I get out of the shower or if I am wearing an outfit where I have my legs on show then I will put some on them just to give a nice shine. Over the period of time that I have been using, I am already able to see a gradual glow on my skin which is ideal ready for the hot weather that we seem to be getting recently.

3. Collection Sheer Loose Powder
Within my makeup collection, I have only ever had a pressed powder so when it came to replacing my old one I thought I would spruce things up a little. I was unsure about purchasing a loose powder seeing as I had never used one before so I made a little trip to Boots. I chose the collections make as it was quite cheap and therefore I wouldn't be too upset if it wasn't for me. Since then, I have used it frequently within my makeup routine and am very happy with it. I find that it applies a lot nicer than pressed powder and has a nice effect for a longer period of time. I haven't had the product long but am extremely glad that I chose to make the switch for pressed to loose.
4. Peach Lemonade
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate this creation! When going into Costa I thought I would choose something different so went for this as it sounded refreshing. Since then you could say that I have been slightly obsessed. As soon as I got home, I got straight on the Internet looking for the recipe and made my own. I must admit it wasn't quite as nice as Costa's but it wasn't far off. This drink is definitely a summer drink, you are being hydrated and refreshed while getting the sweetness of the lovely drink. Did I mention it was also pink! How could you not enjoy a pink drink?!

5. The Truth about Melody Browne

As it is summer and I have finished all my exams and coursework I told myself that I was going to start reading again. I don't know whether it is just me but unless the book is amazingly good then I don't like to re-read them, therefore I headed to the charity shops in the search of books to start off my summer collection. This is one of the first books that I brought and I haven't been able to put it down since. Without giving too much away it is about a woman who can't remember anything before her ninth birthday until she begins having flashbacks so she tries to piece her life back together. Honestly, I am completely engrossed in the book, it isn't a hard read either which makes it all the more enjoyable to read. A definite must!

6. Ipod Nano

Personally, music is an extremely important aspect so therefore I love having my own iPod, for when I'm going on long walks in the sun or to college, chilling out in the garden or when I'm about to go to bed. I am interested in a variety of different music genres, including; hip hop, pop, R&B. I particularly love how it isn't bulky which means that I can have all of the songs that I want with me and it can fit nicely into my pocket or kept within my handbag. It came in a wide range of colours and I thought that the design made it look really nice. Definitely worth the money!

7. Lip Balm
Personally, I'm not very good when it comes to the hype about new lip balm products, the only one that stands out for me is Vaseline as it does its job which is keeping my lips moisturised and soft throughout the day. After brushing my teeth, I gently go over my lips to take away any of the dead skin and then go in with the Vaseline, I do this every morning and night. I also make sure to keep a tin of Vaseline with me throughout the day, just in case.

8. Batiste Dry Shampoo

I absolutely love this produce, it is my secret weapon when it comes to keeping my hair fresh for a couple of days or just to add that extra volume. Just a couple of sprays on the roots and a little rub through and you're good to go. Quick and Simple.  Another bonus is that they have a wide range of dry shampoos depending on what hair type you have, so it is a product for everybody!

9. Clean and Clear Morning Energy

This is a product that I will always come back too, it is such a great morning face wash that just brightens up my skin and makes it feel so healthy and clean, which is what you want in the morning. It has tiny little micro beads in it which help clean out your pores but dissolve quickly in order to not irritate your skin. I use this every morning by massaging it into my face and then rinsing it off with warm water. I am always on the look for the best hydrating face wash but this is definitely doing the job for me.

10. Slippers
I never used to be a big fan of slippers, they just used to irritate me and I would always end up taking them off, however my mum got me these cute slippers from ASDA and they are so comfy, I am constantly wearing them around the house.

So there we have our top 10 favourite things and as you can tell they vary from beauty, lifestyle and fashion items.
Hope you enjoyed this kind of post.

Tiny Details...

Due to this being the first post on our blog, I thought it would be a good idea to start at the beginning and tell you a bit about who we actually are - because if you are anything like us, who doesn't like to know the ins and outs of somebody's life.

Honey and Rose consists of two girls with a keen interest in beauty and fashion who thought it would be fun to document this along with various other things that happen within our life which might be an interesting read for you.

Due to us being 17 and 18 we are currently in the midst of the famous 'teenage years', this means that we have gone through various experiences and still have many to go through and therefore are hoping we will be able to address these within this blog.

I think now would be a good time to give a quick overview of who we actually are...

At the tender age of 4, when we were both living in a little village, we bumped into each other while playing outside. From that moment we knew that this would be a friendship that would last. Over the years, we have grew to be more like family than friends which has meant that we know every detail about one another, which makes our friendship extremely strong.

That is just a quick introduction to who we are and hopefully what this blog is going to feature.

See you soon
